At SCREWS, a nonprofit tool library and community hub in Tallahassee, our mission is to connect communities with sustainable hardware resources while supporting tradecraft education through lending, workshops, and the arts.
From the start, we have chosen to amplify that mission through original art rather than conventional advertising. SCREWS Music is a creative outreach initiative that uses storytelling, cultural participation, and collaboration to connect new audiences with our work.
Forming a band as part of our community outreach felt natural. Music is a universal language that creates connection, and SCREWS was envisioned as a place where art and repair coexist. The band carries that vision into original songs that reflect our values and invite people to engage with the organization in a memorable, authentic way.
We have released The Feedback—featured by the Tallahassee Democrat—and Beat In Me, with more music and future performances ahead.
