Position Title: Grant Writer

We focus on sustainability, mentorship, and providing a supportive network for tradespeople. Our mission is to drive social impact through community-driven programs, and we are looking for a skilled Grant Writer to help secure funding to support our initiatives.

Position Overview
The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The successful candidate will help secure funding to support SCREWS Inc.’s mission and programs, ensuring that our work continues to have a positive impact on the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
• Write compelling grant proposals and applications that align with SCREWS Inc.’s mission and programmatic goals.
• Work closely with program leads to gather necessary information and data for grant proposals.
• Develop and maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines and follow-up tasks.
• Manage relationships with funders and maintain a record of submitted proposals and outcomes.
• Prepare grant reports for funders and ensure that all requirements are met.
• Assist in developing fundraising strategies and participate in grant-funded projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an ability to craft compelling narratives.
• Excellent research skills to identify new funding opportunities.
• Ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously.
• Knowledge of grant guidelines and the ability to adhere to requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Passion for supporting underserved communities and social impact is a plus.

Position Duration:

• This is a part-time or contract position with flexible hours.
